For 2011, Decibel Festival presents a TRUST showcase featuring a lineup custom built for die-hard fans and new recruits. Headlining this year’s event will be Detroit Techno/House prodigy Kyle Hall, who will be making his triumphant return to the Pacific NW. In addition, local house maestro Hanssen will be performing a world debut live set, sure to excited the dance floor. And of course, the night would not be complete with a healthy dose of Kid Hops and SunTzu Sound spinning back to back.
Kyle Hall is one talented kid – a true prodigy. The Detroit native’s productions are so richly musical, so thoughtful and mature, that it seems madness to think that he was born 1991 – he’s only 21 years old. With releases and remixes on the UK dubstep label Hyper Dub, R&S and Planet E he is clearly destined for a rich artistic future.
Bob Hansen has been producing the technology music for about 15 years, most of those as half of Jacob London with his good buddy Dave “Pezzner” Pezzner. Both have recently been focusing on solo material, with his latest project unDer the moniker “Hanssen” which features good old-fashioned quirky/f*cked-up house tracks.
Inspired by the beats of West London and cities around the world, Seattle’s SunTzu Sound extends the soul of electronic music, bringing people together to dance with a cosmic blend of urban cultures and organic rhythms.
Kid Hops has been mixing records and curating music for fifteen years, performing alongside Damian Marley, Horace Andy, Massive Attack, Goldie, DJ Hype, LTJ Bukem, London Elektricity and countless other reggae legends and cutting edge electronic music icons.

TRUST is very proud to host the debut live set from local producer/DJ HANSSEN. HANSSEN’s mix of swinging techno and bouncing disco-house has found a home on labels such as Om Records and Innerflight. If his live shows as Jacob London are an indicator then this a performance not to be missed.
Detroit’s KYLE HALL closed out last year’s festival in style making many new fans along the way with his own brand of deep techno and playful house. This year he returns to kick off Decibel weekend and rock a bigger dancefloor. His recordings on Planet E, Hyperdub and Warp make him the perfect master for creating an expansive and eclectic soundtrack for TRUST.
And of course, the night would not be complete with a healthy dose of Kid Hops and SunTzu Sound spinning back to back. Local attendees and travelers from a far will get a special treat from the party that is defining the future of Seattle’s dancefloors.
