I was introduced to electronic music after wandering into Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 masterpiece. After being exposed to the cutting edge and innovative french talents of these 2 robots, along with SebastiAn and Kavinsky, my foundation of affections lies with House music. Over time I’ve embraced artists such as M.I.A., New Order, Hudson Mohawke, Sleigh Bells, and continue to expand my influences. Being able to work for a pro organization like Decibel Festival, and directly help some of the artists I love is an incredible gift, for which I am very grateful.

Wednesday
Choosing between Araabmuzik and Zomby is not easy. However I was sooo hyped on Zomby’s “Where Were U In 92?” release and also highly respect Hyperdub Records, the label he is affiliated with. I gotta go with the Decibel Opening Party as my top choice for Wednesday.

Thursday
I remember the Night Slugs showcase getting cancelled earlier this year, I was sad. Now that it’s back at Decibel Festival I will not miss it on Thursday. This label is one of the best I’d say, Girl Unit especially has done rad things lately.

Friday
Another hard choice! After hearing the Egyptrixx’s fantastic album “Bible Eyes”, I’ve decided to attend the Blurring The Lines showcase at Neumos. I really enjoy Max Cooper as well and bet that Martyn will put on a great show.

Saturday
Gotta support Brainfeeder Records and see Matthewdavid perform at the Optical 2: Grains of Sound showcase. His “Outmind” album is ridiculous and has helped me embrace thick-textured, ambient sounds. This will be my first time at Benaroya Hall, and this combined with the audio/visual sets being debuted will make it a magical night for sure.

Sunday
The first time I saw Gaudi I had a blast! I’ll see you guys at the db in Dub Finale at Neumos, where he will be performing!
