A community arts festival with an educational component, Decibel has always been “non-profit” in essence, by no means a “money-making” venture for its organizers. However, this year Decibel Festival is making it official and has changed to 501(c)(3) status in efforts to continue the festivals growth by attracting grants and charitable contributions. The 2009 festival has partnered up with marketing agencies Off The Grid and Terrorbird Media to put together sponsorship opportunities and to spread the word throughout the music and arts community, locally and beyond, about the upcoming festival.
Off The Grid (OTG) is a cutting edge marketing agency which specializes in premiere events, video production and green merchandising. Headed by CEO Melissa Reis, owner of the number one gaming convention in the U.S. (Gen Con), this Seattle based company has been in business for over five years, and has the pleasure to work with such clients as Lucasfilm (Star Wars), Seattle Art Museum, China Pacific Group, and Hidden City Games to name a few.
