With a highly original sound and an eclectic musical background, [a]pendics.shuffle is one of the most prolific producers out there. Starting out as the guitarist, singer, part time keyboardist, and producer of the 90’s indie rock band Furry Things, he eventually burned out on playing in a band and started producing electronic music under the moniker Eight Frozen Modules. His early recordings were done with his guitar, half-broken sampler, a drum machine, borrowed synths, and a four track, mashing up the sounds of electro, abstract hip hop, dub, and techno. In 1998, he started making music using computer software, and has since released a slew of tracks on labels such as Floppy Funk, Mo’s Ferry Productions, and Tigerbeat 6. Now running his label Adjunct with Orac co-founder Konstantin Gabbro, they are releasing music they like to call “computer funk”, a special blend of funky, minimal, avant-garde techno.
