Kid Hops is Seattle’s answer for way-out reggae and funky dubby drum and bass. He has been at the center of the city’s d&b scene since its inception in the early 90’s, throwing the first parties and expanding the city kids’ minds with the silly thick bass. Ridiculously forward-thinking with all genres of electronic music, Kid Hops hosts two radio shows on KEXP 90.3 (Seattle’s favorite radio station), an underground dance music show on Sunday nights and a Saturday morning Jamaican-flavored reggae show which soothes the city’s hangovers with the easy sounds of the islands. Always with an eye for the freshest tracks and best flavors of electronica, Kid Hops is an integral member of the Seattle underground bass scene and will continue to inspire dance floors to greater depths with his numerous sets both on the radio and in the flesh.
