Italy's Luca Bacchetti is currently one of the most sought after producers in the global minimal techno scene. Born in 1973, Luca was given his own radio show at the age of 18. Over the past few years Luca's tracks have been in constant rotation by luminaries Richie Hatwin, Sven Vath, Mathew Johnson, Matthew Dear and Konrad Black. It is through this exposure that Luca was brought on to produce for Mathew Jonson's Wagon Repair imprint in 2007. As a producer his sound combines latin percussion and expert sound design with hard driving techno rhythm. Luca's previous experience in radio wound landing him an internet radio show on SAMURAI FM in 2004, which has been gaining momentum ever since. As a DJ, Luca has toured the world over, performing at some of the top dance clubs from Florence to New York to Berlin to Tokyo. In 2008 Luca received a nomination for BMA (Beatport Music Awards) for the “Best Minimal Artist"s category. Don't miss his West Coast debut Friday night at Neumos.
