As co-owner of the new local label Peloton Musique, Aron Schoppert’s vision for the future of techno is based on open-mindedness and creativity. In describing the label’s sound, he (along with co-founders Shane Silkey and Eli Huntington) note that they use the term “techno” loosely. As long as the artists can express themselves freely while embracing innovative techniques and sounds, the music doesn’t necessarily have to fit into any specific style or sound. Their upcoming release, “Bicycles Are Your Friends”, due out this September, will feature tracks from quality electronic artists such as Jeff Samuel, Lusine, and Incite! (aka Nordic Soul). As a DJ, Aron blends melodic, pensive sounds with more driving beats, and has an uncanny ability to always lay down the right vibe at the right time.
