Based in New York, 33Hz first came onto the scene in 2005 with the release of their self-titled album. Having gotten their start as backup musicians playing for hip hop artists, they later started producing music on their own as 33Hz. Their sound is mainly focused on R&B influences, though their hip hop roots still shine in tracks like “Paris, Texas”, featuring Teki Latex and Devin the Dude. The duo are also in high demand for remixes, and havehave remixed Parisian trio The Teenagers’ “Love No” and Japanese pop group Riddim Saunter’s “Hey, Please Tip Me Off”. They’re currently back in the studio and will be putting out a single (featuring “Sentinel of Love” and “I Feel Alive”) on Foolhouse Records this September.
