For over three decades loft parties have been an integral part of underground dance music culture and discovery. Beginning with the legendary David Mancuso New York parties at “The Loft” in the 70s, these in-the-know dance parties featured disco and house DJs who would play the best in underground dance music for hours on end. For this showcase, we’ll be highlight three of Portland’s finest house and disco performers, including a long-awaited live set from classic house trio, The Miracles Club.
 
The Miracles Club is a performance art and house music group from Portland. Members Rafael Fauria, Honey Owens and Ryan Boyle have been exploring the relationship between sound, movement, audience and artist by aking elements from classic Chicago acid house, world music, experimental pop and contemporary dance.
 
Bryan Zentz has evolved into an architect of highly complex sound structures, skilfully blending tonal percussion, melodic rhythms and indefatigable bass lines with his trademark shuffle. Though his music has changed dramatically, the seed of inspiration, the controlled aggression and raw energy remain as apparent now as always.
 
Over the past 7 years M. Quiet has become a cornerstone of the DJ community in the Northwest US. Co-founder of Portland monthlies Kulturszene and NIGHTCLUBBING; he is as well versed in the disco and classic house genres as he is in the ever changing minimal/deep house technosphere.
