LoDubs was founded in late 2006 by Jon AD as a sub label of losonofono, with the intention of releasing a new strain of bass driven music in the canon of Garage, which at the time had not quite settled on the term Dubstep. Quite rapidly the label garnered a singular level of importance, Having released the debut releases in the sound from such mammoth figures as XI, 6Blocc, DZ, Bombaman, Starkey, Clubroot, and Cardopusher.

Various was founded at a nearby point in chronology by Monkeytek, Ryan Organ, and Jon AD, and has, as with LoDubs, become a unmatched venue for explorations in all realms of low end sound, but with a particular focus on the Dubstep, presented in a classic Reggae soundsystem, MC “Toasting” driven format. This tradition meets future has drawn unparallelled respect in the states, with a multitude of big name artists having made appearances, either to perform, or just to experience it for themselves on their way to gigs in neighboring towns.

For this year’s showcase LoDubs and Various have assembled a brilliant international line-up featuring two of the most revered Dubstep producers in the World, Clubroot (LoDubs – London) and Distance (Hotflush, Planet Mu – London) both of whom will be making their Seattle debut.
