Evergreen Eye Visuals

Seeing a need for visuals behind the experimental music collective SIL2K, James Drage quickly evolved what began as a pair of VCRs and some home-spun wiring to self-produced and live-mixed video content. From there, not being satisfied with existing hardware or software video mixing solutions, he taught himself Max/MSP and built a custom video mixer over the course of the 30-day demo. Later revisions have extended both content and live manipulation techniques to emerge a wholly unique style which creates the abstract from the narrative and the narrative from the abstract.

Past projects include three years of the Decibel Festival, installations for the Fete de Lumieres, Opticlash VJ Battles, plus live visuals for Thievery Corporation, DJ Krush, Amon Tobin and more recently Herbaliser and Gui Boratto.
