At 12 years, Drum & Bass Tuesdays is the longest consecutively running DNB weekly in the United States. Internationally known throughout the DNB world, Onset is 8 years running. These two nights have solidified Seattle as one of the best DNB cities in the world through incredible bookings, devel- oping close relationships with artists and supporting the community around them. For the first ever DNB showcase at Decibel Festival they are bringing 2 incredible talents: Klute and Gridlok.
Klute, head honcho at Commercial Suicide, not only champions DNB, but also punk and techno. Gridlok is the US king of Neuro with his signature hard-tech-roller-funk sound. These 2 artists are so highly regarded in DNB, that the combination of them in one night will be a hallmark in the history of Seattle DNB.
Opening the night is Kid Hops, the first person to ever import DNB to Seattle in any form and one of the key figures at KEXP 90.3 with his shows “Positive Vibrations” and “Expansions”. Aksion is leading the way on the new school generation of DJs and promoters from his work on DNB Tuesdays, Simplify Events and Friends With Benefits.
Grym is a prolific graphic designer in the Seattle EDM community and leader of the almighty Onset crew. Recently second runner up in the 1Love DNB Battles, Charly is also a techno and DNB producer/DJ.
John Glist, who is the main DNB representation of the Live N Love family, is one of the newest members of the DNB Tuesdays crew. Representing out of LA, MC Dre, who has won BBC 1Xtra’s Best New MC Award, will be hosting the event. There will also be a special potluck provided by the members of www.seattlednb.com at 8:00 pm. For just only $10, this is how we put the ‘N’ in dB Fest.
