Derrick’s Bay-Area roots reflect in his DJ sets as well as his production work, a hybrid sound blending essential elements of funky, jazzy, organic house with darker, deep, tech-house – heavy, yet not oppressive bass-lines, sophisticated loops and percussive layers tinged with a tribal, psychedelic edge.

A resident of Seattle since 2004, and a Uniting Souls resident since 2006, Deepvibez has kept busy in the studio, as well as on the stage, performing alongside the greats of house – including Miguel Migs, Mark Farina, Johnny Fiasco, and Kaskade – at venues as diverse as Neumos, Chop Suey, Trinity, Last Supper Club, Rebar, and See Sound Lounge. His current residencies include Play, 4th Fridays at See Sound Lounge, and Fam Funk, 1st Fridays at the Electric Tea Garden.
