DJ, promoter, designer, and producer, Flat Black aka Jake Wagoner has been a part of conceptual Seattle events such as Onset drum & bass Saturdays, Artifakt Art Shows, and his latest endeavor with partner Sean Majors, Trashed, a refreshing take on quality clubbing. Pushing the cutting edge of nu disco and indie dance, Flat Black has put out well received unofficial remixes of Azure Ray – Don’t Leave My Mind, and Kaskade & Adam K feat. SunSun – Raining. Expect to hear a lot more from him in the near future.
More on Trashed…
About two years ago, members from some of the city’s best known crews and events got together to create something new. They wanted it to be a parody of club culture, something that was totally awesome, but making fun of itself at the same time. The goal was to create a culture based on the music burning up the blogs, but not in a way that was elitist or detached from the spirit of a raucous jam. The mission’s priorities in order were fun, art, education and binge drinking. Artists like Klever, Treasure Fingers, The Twelves, RAC, U-tern, Grum, and Them Jeans helped them pave that way. After 20 consecutive months of brown-outs, black-outs and delirious dancefloors, the mission hasn’t changed. BE THE PARTY. TRASHED
