Absolute madman (born Christopher Gavin Darrell) was created in Dayton, Ohio by a fighter pilot and a bartender. Living in Alaska and Virginia he finally resided in Tacompton, Washington. In junior high he grew a dislike for the normal social activities that other kids were involved in, and obsessively started tinkering with a keyboard (that he traded his Sega Genesis for) and a used drum set. In high school, after seeing DJ Premier scratching in a Gangstarr video, he purchased turntables and started to practice sqwaatching. Shortly after, he got a computer, tostadas, and a dr. 5 drum machine to start sequencing phat hiphop beats. Now, he rolls deep with a full recording studio that includes 3 desktop computers, 3 laptop computers, lots of records, bongos, a wooden block, and miscellaneous sound making devices. His production styles are an influence taken from 80′s cartoons, 90′s hiphop, and electronic music from the UK. In ’03 he participated in the first ever Laptop Battle in Seattle, Washington. Then became a member of the Fourthcity art crew and toured the mid west and west coast as the Fourthcity fight club leader. He’s been a deejay at Stopbiting (one of Seattle’s longest running hiphop nights) for 4 years, and The Hang (a free-flow jazz night) for a year. A few tracks have been released through Fourthcity and Trout records, and have been licensed for ringtones in cell phones. He is now locked up at the Institute of Sound Tricknology and spends his time watching Seinfeld reruns and grooming his powdered wig collection. – bio by fishPEDLRst
